Happy Birthday Mia

Mia turned 9 a few weeks ago.
She asked for a German Chocolate Cake
Made her Dad proud.

She had some friends over for the afternoon.

The night before her birthday we had a "Youth Leaders Surprise" youth night.
We hauled them off in big vans to the Mt. Gretna Roller Skating Rink. On Saturday nights they play live organ music.Very loud organ music. My favorite part was watching everyone figure out how to roller skate. I loved roller skating as a child so once I got the hang of it again it was a blast from the past.

This guy, I was about to cross the rink I was carrying Olive in the car seat and my skates in another hand. This guy sneaked up behind me, put his arm around me, blew his whistle and said, "Let's go!" ha! He ushered me across.

We didn't see much of her all night, she found a friend and they had a ball.

iPhone Photo Dump

Two spills. Both the same morning. It's easier to handle if I've all ready had my coffee. Also if I can look at it and be like, "That looks neat."

Grandma Minnie has an awesome sunroom. Who could be sad in here?
Pretty birds to watch, you can see the train, there is a pond. What more could you want.

Suart's been watching for geese on the pond.
Some flew over this morning and he got all excited. I told him that they are coming from Florida.

 Local Mechanic Shop

I've been teaching myself Lightroom. Gah.

 Cute scooter!
My Dad had one like this when he was a child.

Sherlock takes the Cushman for a spin. Oh wait, that's Ted. Nate did not have a jacket but he is armed with yellow gloves.

Soon to be improved by warm summer days.

Sewed Mia a dress this week. I looked longingly at the vintage fabric stash, but Mia loves her knits.

Bow disaster. We had to downsize. A lot.

My Mom snuck this photo at the restaurant. Lady fussing over Olive and Stuart. This happened twice in the same morning, same lady. Stuart wasn't really digging the attention either.

Weekends

Everyone loves a trip to the mountains.Stuart just told me last night that he wishes we would live at the cabin. The girls chimed in, "Then we would never run out of bedrooms." Not that I was worried.

 Still needs her sleep.

Of course this melts my heart.
 You just never know.

 Nate likes his subs toasted.

Olive is wearing this onesie on every picture I have of her.  I'm thinking I should frame it when she outgrows it.  It's like her signature look.  Confession: she's wearing it right now.

Visiting my grandparents at the Lincoln Home.

Just tagging along.

 Olive with my Step Grandma

All of them with my their Great Grandpa.
Nate and I were having fun visiting with them, as they were being kind of silly. The children were going a little bit nuts though and we did not stay very long.

The Grandparents were both joking about how they could not remember who had been there to see them. They should keep a log book, they said. I thought to myself, "They must not have a guest book anymore." Right before we left I asked, "So, do you have a guest book?" "Well yes! we do, now where is it." This made me so silly.
