Mia was pretty jealous that she did not get to go along to hear these guys play.
Funny how the minute it began we sort of wished she was there with us. Just for a minute.
I left him know that "If we spend the night in Philly when we go to the Piano Guys Concert, I am going to want to stop at Ikea on the way home." Even this did not deter him.
The best part about spending the night was that we could hang out with Ted Saturday morning.
Brunch at Sabrina's in Italian Market. We'd never been before.
This child knows that he's about to go from youngest to a middle child.
This is a temper tantrum you see here.
The same recipes that my Mom keeps taped to the back of one of her kitchen cabinets. This makes an early morning batch of baked oatmeal so much easier. The recipe is right here. This is a very basic recipe that I always add stuff to it to jazz it up. Yesterday it was fresh cranberries, coconut, and some pecans.
Baked Oatmeal
9x13 pan
1/2 cup Oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups oatmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
Getting the nursery set up. In case it looks like I hung that shelf too high. I did.
I told Nate I want it high. I totally watched him do this. Now I am waiting for the right moment to ask him to lower it. Good chance it will stay right there. So I rooted around for the crates and everything that I was planning to put on the shelf went in the crates. I see we are managing with some missing hardware on the dresser as well.
Even knowing that I usually go two weeks late, I still find it hard to wait. We are still 4 days away from the due date. They say a baby is never late.

You can't tell, but this was a little meltdown that we had this morning.
Please come and get our free kittens. Free to a good home.
Italian Market in Philadelphia.
at Sabrina's. The decor in this room was so lovely to me.
P.S. my french toast had a layer of toasted coconut and cream cheese in the middle.
Aww, I want the gray kitten in the middle! :)
ReplyDeleteHope baby comes soon for you! The waiting is hard...I remember that part!
Oh, and LUCKY YOU to go see the Piano Guys. That would be a dream come true for my hubby!! :)
DeleteI tape recipes inside my cabinet doors too because my Mom did. :)
ReplyDeleteThe middle child and temper tantrums. Yup, been there.
How FUN that you got to see the Piano Guys, AND spend a night in Philly?! It sounds like the perfect getaway, especially when expecting a baby very soon. Also, I've gone 11 days overdue with two of mine and my heart immediately went out to you when you said you've gone two weeks over! :( The waiting is such a mind game, and can be difficult! I hope it passes quickly for you, and baby arrives soon!
ReplyDeleteI want to hear more about the concert! Nate matching the throw is funny to me. Oh, Stu! - Carla
ReplyDeleteLoved every crumb in this post. Love too, that you photograph meltdowns. :)
