The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

Our little man.  9 weeks. Lots of cooing and smiles.

Dear Elizabeth has squinty eyes from her mother's side.  I must get them from my Father as he has been called "Squinty Eyes" by a certain Miss Brown. Rachel, do you read my blog?

See this?  Here we can see her eyes again. So it's either the eyes or the dimples. Can't have them both!

We went out today.  Shopping.  If Walmart counts.  It was the first time I took them shopping by myeslf.  I really wonder what the ratio of good carts to bad carts is at Walmart?  I rarely have a cart that will easily be pushed in a straight line. On a normal day (ok, wait, this is my new normal) I don't mind... but with two children in the cart and a carseat at the handle... my one hand holding the pacifier in Stuart's mouth... yeah... kind of tough. we barely cleared some corners.

Time to start planning that big birthday party for next year!

My dear friend Ginger had her twins this week.  Rebecca and Joshua.  So cute!

Not Always This Dramatic

Dear, sweet Elizabeth... yesterday was rough for her.  I watched her run smack into a wall, I was sure her nose was going to be broken.  It might be?  It looked so flat to me last night.  Then at supper she fell off of her chair.  Too bad for her Nate was looking the other way when it happened.  Here's to hoping she will not be so clumsy today!

Farm Show

The ducks were by far the best part.  Ellie loved them.
Nate said that we must get some maple syrup cotton candy.  He had a point, it is the best cotton candy I've ever had.  But, that's not saying much.
Stuart stayed with his Grandma Martin for this outing.  I was slightly paranoid about losing the girls in the crowd.  It happened before in the building.

Blurb overnighted my photobook and I recieved it today.  Not bad.  I was hoping for a nice coupon for the hassle (I had to ship the other one back) ... didn't happen. It's ok.  I'm really happy with the book.

My Blurb Book Came Today

I don't print many of my pictures. Mainly becasue I don't scrapbook. I've been compiling my pictues from September 08 through all of 09 and finally sent the book off to the printers on Monday. So of course this is like a huge rush to finally get all the pictures right! See them printed and look back over the last year. Yeah... I could not wait.
My Blurb book came today. I was so excited to open it! I kept yelling at Nate who was teasing me about it, from the kitchen "Don't open it!" So I finish my soup, get a knife, slit the box, pull it out and take a few moments to appreciate the cover. Show it to the girls, "Look this is you!" kind of thing.

I started flipping through it and I got to this page, and was like, odd that they'd put this in the front" My first thought was that it was Blurb people...

Well, Nate is now on the floor paging through the book, reading it aloud, "Eight generations in old and new photographs... paintings, documents, stories collected, composed, written, and photographed..." Nate is also saying, "I can't belive they sent us the wrong book!"

So yeah, not sure who they are or if they got our book, but it seems like they do a lot of skiing... kind of interesting.

Here is the family that we think Stuart favors.

Chubby Cheeks

Chubby Cheeks, originally uploaded by LydiaJo.

Met Nate for lunch today. Fun! Even though Stuart slept through the whole thing and we never got him out of his carseat... the girls still have a way of taking advantage of us. More yelling and fighting goes on than before.
Is the PA farmshow this week or next? Hoping to go this year.
Needin A Nail To Bite
Lizzy so addicted to biting her nails and sucking her thumb. I have always been so ok with her sucking her thumb due to her being such a good baby because of it. Turns out her front teeth are showing strong signs of buck teeth. Not a good development.

Smile Lissy

I sure do miss taking pictures outdoors. We go to the kitchen or bathroom in the mornings to take pictures. These rooms have windows on the east side. So yeah, those crazy turquoise backgrounds I've been having. They come from my new bathroom wall. It is a bit punchier than I was expecting.

Open Your Eyes Lissy

Ellie and Her Cookie Monster

Ellie and Her Cookie Monster, originally uploaded by LydiaJo.
She is so tickled with her Cookie Monster. It talks. I'm not sure which Aunt gave it to her for Christmas and it might be better that way. I don't do well with noisy toys. But then, I was mean fun enough to let her take it along to the cabin this past weekend to annoy all of our friends as well.

She Wanted Me To Take Her Picture Too

While Ellie was tickled to have her own photo shoot with The Cookie Monster, her big sister did not want to be left out.

A.J.

If A.J. isn't cute, then I don't know who is.

Blog Stuart

5 weeks old and we still think he looks like Grandpa Reuben. Not many days go by that someone does not say, "We should have named him Reuben"

We don't make chocolate pancakes, she just called the cake batter, pancakes. Cake, pancake. Same thing to her.
