Summer Please Don't Leave

Sometimes she sits in looking out, and sometimes it's the other way around.

It's a full time job to keep all the little bitty things out of Olive's reach. I'm sure she'll be digging my pots and pans out next week. I caught her sitting herself up for the first time today. I was suspicious that she was.

Stuart has been loving all of the excavation by the pond.

We had to do a science experiment for the library reading program. Very last ditch effort.

We have some really cute kittens.

 Sewing
This is the "real" double knit.

Flowers still alive. I thank the pamper that I buried in the planter.

Nate is turning into a bicycle collector. Mia wearing her Hospital socks.

Teaching Summer Bible School in Shenandoah.

Nate and I taught the Bible Lesson. We were doing stations so we had to do it 5x each night.
Nate was telling the story of Peter and John healing the lame man. After telling it twice he told me to tell the story while he acts it out. When it got to the walking and leaping part, he did a leap and clicked his heels together in the air before coming down. Hidden talent!
I laughed the whole way home.

So people were very kind and showered Mia with thoughtful gifts and cards during her bout with appendicitis. After her visit with the surgeon last week I took her to use her gift card. I had her under strict orders that she may not tell her siblings that she did something special, went to DQ, has a secret, etc.
After picking up those siblings and we were heading home I saw a car that had strange roof racks on it and without thinking I said, "Hey, I saw that car at Dairy Queen" and then I gasped and looked at Mia in the rear view mirror. Her eyes were big. Stuart said, "Mom, did you say you were at Dairy Queen."
He does not miss much.
